ANNIE is a Python application with a library that allows programmatic access. The components are:

• annie-server
• annie-client
• annie-swc
• annie-mesh
• annie-material

ANNIE is currently in its first incarnation, release 0.1. ANNIE currently runs only on Python 3.12. It is highly recommended to use a virtual environment when installing ANNIE. ANNIE has multiple dependencies that will install into the virtual environment, including gmsh, VTK, PyVista, Panel, open3d, and several others.

To use any part of ANNIE, annie-server is required. There are two installation choices: you can either install the totality of ANNIE including all its components, or you can install only the parts you need. To install all of ANNIE, simply use pip install annie-interface. To install only one or a few applications, first pip install annie-server, then install the applications(s) of your choice using pip install application-name . Installing annie-server will automatically install the annie-lib for programmatic access.
